Leader in Ultra Wideband Provides the Only Standards-Based Solution Ready for High-Definition Video Applications
Tzero Technologies, the leader in ultra wideband (UWB) for video distribution, today announced that its ZeroWire technology has obtained official platform certification from the WiMedia Alliance, the organization responsible for the standardization and multi-vendor interoperability of UWB worldwide. When combined with Tzero’s approach for digital content protection -- and status as an Approved Retransmission Technology through the Digital Content Protection organization (DCP LLC) -- Tzero becomes the first and only standards-based solution for delivering high-definition video content around the home via a combination of wireless and wired links.
“For products to truly meet the needs of service providers and consumer electronics companies, two critical components are necessary: standards compliance and content protection,” said Rajeev Krishnamoorthy, founder and CEO of Tzero. “We offer the only solutions on the market that deliver both WiMedia-standards compliance and content protection certified by DCP LLC. These elements position us as the best choice for networking entertainment content around the home.”
Tzero’s ZeroWire chipset is optimized for wireless and wired networking of entertainment content around the home. The ZeroWire chipset enables service providers to create devices and networks for distributing entertainment content throughout the entire home using existing coax cable. The chipset also gives consumer electronics manufacturers the ability to create new classes of wireless video products – HDTVs, digital video recorders and more – that are easier and less expensive to install.
