Club Pogo Arrives in England With More Than 30 Games, Pogo Minis, Badges, Gems and Prizes
Electronic Arts Inc (NASDAQ:ERTS), the world’s leading interactive entertainment company, today announced Club Pogo UK has gone live in the United Kingdom. Club Pogo UK is the premium version of EA’s casual online service, Pogo (pogo.co.uk) which features word, puzzle, card and board games.
Club Pogo builds off of the success of Pogo’s UK site that has more than 1.3 million monthly unique visitors1. Club Pogo takes the casual playing experience to a new level of fun and engagement offering players more than 100 games, including Pogo favorites such as Poppit!™ and Word Whomp™, plus over 30 Club Pogo exclusive games. The subscription service offers a host of VIP benefits including commercial free game play and community features such as weekly challenges to earn “badges”, and customizable avatars (Pogo Minis). Such features have been hugely successful on the Club Pogo US site where more than 1.5 million subscribers spend upwards of 12 hours per week, playing and socializing online2.

Items include a “cricket outfit,” “Dickensian dress,” and themed backgrounds including: “Down the Pub,” “Afternoon Tea,” and the “London Bus Stop.” Club Pogo UK also features “Pogo Gems.” Pogo Gems is a virtual point system that players can use to acquire extra premium items such as badges and animated avatar objects.
