AccessKey IP, Inc., (Pink Sheets:AKYI) the developer, designer and producer of advanced entertainment and communication devices, announced this morning that the company plans to add significant functionality to its AccessKey Vault technology with Release 2.0. The new release will feature support for both Microsoft Windows XP™ and Vista™; as well as Microsoft’s popular productivity suites, Office 2003 and 2007. The company’s high performance patent-pending encryption/decryption functionality will also be expanded to support both Triple DES and the more advanced AES cryptography standards.
AccessKey IP’s President Rich Lauer explained, “Our initial release of the Vault came at a time prior to the general availability of Vista. We therefore didn’t include this functionality. Obviously, most new PC’s ship with Vista today, so support for this latest Microsoft technology is now much more important.” Lauer continued, “Some organizations require AES as their encryption standard. Availability of the latest AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) on the Vault will therefore allow us to meet this requirement.”
AccessKey Vault, version 2.0 is scheduled to ship during the first quarter of 2008. Pricing has not yet been established.
